abstract

  • Systematic reviews with meta-analyzes help us analyze the efficacy and safety of one treatment in relation to another with a high level of quality and scientific rigor in order to contribute to decision-making in healthcare. In this work it is visualized how the PRISMA method is used to be able to put in context the evaluation of algorithms and models for decision making in the management of chronic diseases such as Type II Diabetes Mellitus. The PRISMA systematic review is based on the review of all the literature on the same topic to draw a series of conclusions detailing search terms, search engines, which have been excluded and included in the document. For this review, there is a checklist of the documents to be reviewed, where said analysis of document exclusion can be carried out due to non-compliance with the requirements. In this work, a systematic review of the texts that contemplate the Evaluation of Algorithms and models for decision-making in the management of chronic diseases such as Type II Diabetes Mellitus has been carried out. For its elaboration, the PRISMA model has been taken into account for the execution of systematic reviews. Next, the production process in its different phases will be detailed.
