abstract

  • This paper seeks to understand the Colombian reaction against the International Court of Justice judgment of 2012 to the light of Jutta Weldes and Mark Laffey critical Constructivism. The process address to the Court is analyzed, besides historic background of the case and the construction of an imaginary around San Andrés Islands that produced a loss feeling inside the Colombian society when the final decision was known. Finally, the paper tries to determine if Colombian reaction could be identified as an autist action because of the active forgetting of the foreign policy and the Nicaragua´s inquiries about the islands and the established extension line.
