abstract

  • The intention of this study is in order to determine whether there is a (statistical) relation between exposure to soft skills by university students and success in the labor market measured in terms of salaries. The Universidad del Rosario and the Universidad de Antioquia were part of this study and through data provided by students and graduates, an ordinary least squares method was used to analyze the relation. The results obtained due to the methodology used and sampling errors doesn't show a weak partial correlation between elective credits exposure and the self-reported salary of the graduates and expected by the students. The proposed relation is one of correspondence, but not of origin.
