abstract

  • The debates around the concept of security have increased due to the strengthening of Liberal Democracy, rule of law and protection of human rights. In this context, new security approaches have been established in order to respond to the current challenges faced by humans as the access to food, work, health, education and housing. Thus, the narrow focus of the security concept understood as the protection of the state has been supplemented, not replaced, for human security. Among a variety of postures, Canada and Japan are highlighted in the context of security studies, especially in the study and application of human security. Kosovo, meanwhile, benefited from the participation of Canada and Japan in the light of the principles of Freedom from Fear and Freedom from Want during the reconstruction process.
