This study case seeks to explain the reasons why the creation of the Women’s Secretariat of the Conservative Party has influenced the internal democracy of the party as an organization. The inclusion of the conservative has been materialized in the selection of candidates, and the WS´s programs have increased women´s leadership inside the organizations. However, the institutionalization of the base groups in the CP has not allowed a decentralization of the party itself.
