abstract

  • The aim of this paper is to show the role of philosophy in making explicit the relationship between forgiveness unconditionality and conditionality, meaning that the only forgiveness that makes sense is one who forgives the unforgivable, where the strength of the concept is determined for their unconditionality. This can be called the theoretical strength of the concept and yet is determined by its practicality, which seeks to qualify to award a fair forgiveness. Moreover, it seeks to make explicit the connection between the concept of forgiveness and the concept of difference, so that each development of the first concept reveals a way of theorizing and applying the second. Forgiveness emerges as an event with multiple dimensions: religious figure, philosophical concept, political act, so it is impossible to create a unique concept of forgiveness, its multidimensionality requires that construction be examined from a variety of perspectives. Furthermore, it is noteworthy that the multidimensionality generates a gain for philosophy, for us into different scenarios philosophical exercise, unraveling philosophy from making, showing how it arises in other fields to be philosophy. That is, from forgiiveness is possible to make philosophy , while avoiding a philosophy of forgiveness.
