abstract

  • This research presents an analysis of the relationship and the process of mutual construction that exists between the life trajectories of three of the most representative artists of Colombian popular music and the artistic-musical field that the popular genre has formed in the country. The above from a theoretical approach that seeks to provide a sociological perspective with the implementation of notions and analytical concepts belonging to branches of the discipline that have been little implemented in the study of Colombian popular music; such concepts are associated with the sociology of the media and social fields. In that sense, with a biographical approach, an attempt is made to reconstruct the history of the field of popular music from the life trajectories of Darío Gómez, Jhonny Rivera and Jessi Uribe.
