  • This document corresponds to the poster of the final presentation on environmental jurisprudence at the “1st Winter School of Environmental Law: The Climate Litigation”, held from 7 to 11 August 2023 in the city of Santiago, by the Environmental Center Law (CDA) of the Faculty of Law of the University of Chile. The work was carried out by an interdisciplinary group of students from the University of Chile, the Austral University of Chile, the University of Brasilia, and the University of Rosario. The poster presents the context, arguments of the parties, arguments, and decision of the Supreme Court of Chile in the judgment of Role No. 8573-2019, which addresses the right to participation of citizens and especially, of the indigenous peoples in the administrative decisions adopted by the Environmental Assessment Service (SEA), in relation to the Cerro Colorado Operational Continuity Project of the Cerro Colorado Mining Company (CMCC).
