The Justice Palace takeover, which occurred on November 6 / 1985, was an armed action of M-19, called Operation Antonio Nariño for the Rights of Men, with which it was intended to prosecute the President of the Republic, Belisario Betancur Cuartas, for its failure to keep promises of peace and betrayal of the agreements with the guerrilla group. The armed action was followed by a so-called Justice Palace reclamation, led by the police and national army. This research aims to analyze, from Political Science, and an academic perspective, the different factors and actors of power that influenced the Justice Palace takeover, and the consequences thereof; with this purpose, has been made an analysis of the phenomenon of power held by each of the parties involved.
