Introduction: Depression is considered a mental disorder that is characterized by persistence of sadness and loss of interest in activities that were usually enjoyed, it affects about twentyone million people around the world, and it is considered that one in five people will develop depression in his life. Objective: To estimate the prevalence of symptoms and sociodemographic factors and Occupational disorders related to anxiety and depression in schoolteachers’ of Cundinamarca 2022 Methodology: An analytical cross-sectional study with an exploratory component was conducted, with a sample of 200 teachers who agreed to participate, to whom the EADG scale (Goldberg Anxiety and Depression Scale) was applied, bivariate and multivariate analyzes of the data obtained. Results: When classifying according to the Goldberg subscales, it was found that 54.5% of the teachers presented symptoms of anxiety, while 50% presented symptoms of depression, significant associations were found between age, level at which they perform, working time and working hours. Conclusions: In Colombia there are symptoms of anxiety and depression in the teaching population of the Cundinamarca area and with the analysis of the results it was evidenced that the level in which the teacher performs, daily hours, and years of work affects the presence of the symptomatology. Most of the time, their own symptoms are not recognized or they normalize, in the conversations of the participating schools it was noticed that many teachers were unaware of symptoms and tools to avoid stress and anxiety, so more studies are needed to evaluate the impact of the problem and the necessary actions for its prevention and control.
