This research work carried out an analysis of the media agenda for the 2019 elections of local authorities in the department of Norte de Santander and its capital Cúcuta. The written press has an important value in some parts of the territory where virtuality is not the preferred means of information. The newspaper “La Opinion”, which is analyzed in this document, is the main means of communication in this region. Its printed version was lost in the pandemic, but it managed to fully cover this 2019 electoral process. The information expressed there does not change like virtuality, so its information shows us the way in which the newspaper generates frames and develops its opinions on The candidates. Understanding what the media say, their political orientation and how they understand the electoral landscape in front of political actors is essential to evaluate journalistic work.
