abstract

  • In the article I try to explain an incomprehensible behavior from the ethics perspective. This behavior is encroached in the daily lives of people with different political, philosophical and religious views: the voiding of moral judgments upon those perceived as belonging to the other “side”. My objective is to explain how this voiding works when it is applied to the judgment of actions committed against subjects considered to belong to the other side and to criticize the outcome of this operation. Much of the examples that I used come from the Colombian political context. Any reader with some knowledge about the reality of Colombia has heard these judgments. It is precisely because of its extended use and proliferation in all aspects of life and the use that some do of the voiding in the political context that I present this analysis.
