  • BECA S.A is a company founded over 25 years ago in Bogotá. Dedicated to manufacture of parts and fittings in plastic and metal for furniture. It is known for its extensive range and quality of products marketed nationally to sectors of the furniture industry, construction and petroleum. However, in recent years it has had several internal problems rooted in the company´s heart: the strategy. Thus, the topic of this project will be the strategic planning to improve internal processes, reach better results and achieve competitiveness and perdurability over time. The methodology used was Porter's five forces supported by templates that helped to identify actions that would improve the situation of the company and thus take the first step to strategic planning. Among the guidelines were identified mainly increasing the customer portfolio, improve payment arrangements and alliances with suppliers, establishing a competitive price in the market, strengthen the sales and commercial area, have updated information. In conclusion, the main problem is the lack of internal planning; also is essential to invest in innovation and knowledge to create value to the customer and exceeding their expectations. As recommendations, it is important to implement the theory of constraints because the implementation can be more efficient and there would be a better impact in the market, establish strategies for CRM within the company and fostering a culture of change forgetting certain policies that inhibit the achievement of the goals.
