  • IntroductionAlthough melanocytic nevi are a frequent complaint in our population, no studies in Colombia about your treatment, globally there is little literature on the subject so that there is a conceptual gap in this field.ObjectivesEvaluate changes in pigment reduction and scarring in acquired melanocytic nevi laser treated.Materials and methodsIt is an observational study of before and after, in a historical cohort of 90 cases of acquired melanocytic nevi treated with laser in Unilaser Medica, in which we assessed the presence of pigment, scarring, and other variables, with a check carried out at not less than 3 months of intervention.Results There was an age range between 18 -51 years , mean 27.59 years ; phototype III- V , in 32% of cases , only one session was required CO2 and Erbium laser for full clearance. The duration of the erythema in 54.4 % of cases was 1 to 3 months. Was 64.4% in residual pigment control, but of these cases was 48.2% from 5 to 10 % of baseline. The scar was 58.9 %, of these 63 % were aesthetic scar. The satisfaction of patients is high despite the persistent pigment and / or the presence of scar.DiscussiosTreatment of acquired melanocytic nevi with laser is a treatment option that generates statistically significant changes in terms of pigment, scar aesthetics and high satisfaction among patients. Analytical studies, are required to determine treatment efficacy.
