abstract

  • This work aks about the place of moral sentiments in the formulation and justification to moral judgment . Moral sentiments are analyzed in the context of crimes against humanity, as was the military dictatorship in Argentina, through the case of military Francisco Scilingo. It is argued that membership of a moral community is crucial for the foundation of moral expectations and the violation of those expectations is directly related to the emergence of moral sentiments. The work aims to extend the reflection on the concept of moral sentiments to the scope of collective responsibility and therefore asks if these feelings take place in the attribution of responsibility to perpetrators of crimes against humanity.
