The aim of this investigation is to analyze the uprising of the genealogy as a historical-philosophical method. Its central question may be the following: is genealogy history? This paper begins with a young Nietzsche, whom confronted with its contemporary view of the past, the present and the history itself. Then a grown Nietzsche would offer a studie about the genealogy not only as method, but also as a syntom and as a intelectual gesture as well.
