The Amazon has long been just a big jungle space, difficult to penetrate, with a climate of high humidity, far from the centers of power and therefore, relegated to the background in national policies. However, the Amazon region has changed dramatically in recent decades, which in turn has led to a profound change in policies towards this space and the international attention that receives. This transformation led to a multiplication and diversification of the dynamics of security and insecurity in the region and on the continent, changing the relationship between international actors with interests in the region.
