  • Everyone established different kinds of relationships throughout life and through these exchange and build experience, knowledge, ways of feeling and seeing life; besides sharing needs, interests and affections (Pozo, Alonso Hernandez & Martos, 2005). This postulate is one of the main arguments motivating the realization of this theoretical review, so this paper describes the results of a theoretical review on social relations in the organizational environment and the importance they play in this particular context. The objectives that guided this letter were: establish the essential attributes of the concept of social relationships, identify psychological approaches that have contributed to the understanding of this phenomenon, identify research methods used, describe findings that demonstrate the impact of relationships social in the employment context and identify current trends through which social relations are studied in organizational contexts. To achieve these objectives, the concept and characteristics of social relations, prospects and existing theoretical models for study, survey methodologies to seised and finally the role of social relations in organizational contexts is explored.
