abstract

  • Human migratory processes can be understood in three fundamental stages. The departure from one's place of residence, the journey, and the arrival in a generally unknown place. This report explains the main phases that make up the migration of people from the Northern Triangle (El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras) to the United States. Moments in which the dichotomy faced by hundreds of people seeking to leave their country is revealed. Because there is a high migratory flow, and at the same time, policies and controls to reduce or eliminate such movements, people are forced to cross the borders illegally, due to the difficulty that the strengthening of the rules unleashes. This report is, therefore, a journey through the stages and their implications. A report told from the stories of those who were and are the protagonists of the blurred American dream.
