  • This monograph approaches the study of the war that was provoked in 1932 between Colombia and Peru, for the invasion of a group of Peruvians in Leticia. The historical, political and economic circumstances, they played a role very importantly since Colombia and Peru faced a warlike conflict in the middle of the great economic world depression. In 1922 with the signature of the treaty Lozano Salomon the borders were established between both States. In spite of this on September 1, 1932 citizens of nonconformist Loreto with the above mentioned treaty, invaded Leticia what It carry the repudiation of the international community and the support of the Company of Nations and Brazil in order that the situation was solved in a best possible way, and avoiding in any case a confrontation of big proportions. The theory of Hans Morgenthaus Realism and more specifically the concept of the national interest explains as Colombia it defended at all time his national interest, of equal way the author Clausewitz with key concepts like that it is the war, the war as continuation of the politics for other means, and the political and military aims jointly will give a theoretical approximation to the reader to explain the topic of this monograph. Finally the war that was provoked in 1932, It conclude favorably to the Colombian interests, thanks to paper that there recovered key actors, who appealed always to the international law and international instances.
