Young people in higher education have challenges, which are not summarized in the qualification to approve a subject and get an educational degree. In this way, future projections can have an impact on how students live academic life. In the development of the analysis, the relationship between future expectations and the university experience is investigated. In the first place, to explore this connection it was proposed to examine the university experience of students through the categories test and support, proposed by Danilo Martuccelli’s sociology. In a second moment, it was suggested to analyze future expectations as socio-existential anchors, a category developed by Kathya Araujo.
