  • Over the last few years, Colombia has begun to establish commercial relationships with different countries, with the interest to sign free trade agreements with the current great economic powers, among them the European Union, South Korea, Canada and the United States. So, it is fundamental for Colombia be capable of negotiate the free trade agreements with the developed countries and not only that, but also to take advantage of and maintain the benefits that are being given, in order to improve the productive processes themselves and to technify the products and services to maintain a constant innovation that allows better access to the global market and to go out of being an emerging market. In this study, we will look approximately at how has been the commercial relationship with the United States specifically since the signing of the free trade agreement in 2012, which has improved or deteriorated this relationship as well as having an in-depth understanding of the US economic profile and Colombia, in order to continue studying the economic profile of the State of California and the behavior of the commercial relationship with Colombia, the main objective is to understand the Californian market to find opportunities for possible products or services for export from Colombia. to California.
