  • Investment in transport infrastructure not only has impacts in mobility but also effects over the capitalization of areas close to projects, even prior to construction. The present document analyzes the impact of the announcement of the first line of the Metro de Bogotá Project on the housing prices in the city. This document makes a combination of innovative databases, web scrapping & Google Maps, with administrative records like datasets from district entities like IDU, to estimate the effect of the announcement of the construction of stations on the price of housing and real estate around the project. Results suggest that housing prices increases, since October 2019, when the first line of the project was announced, after its adjudication. For apartments and houses that are within a radius of 1 km to a future metro stations, increases are range from 5,7 and 6,9%, respectively.
