abstract

  • This document contains an economic-technical analysis of three alternatives for production water disposal generated in the oil extraction from Field A, located in the municipality of Aguazul, department of Casanare, which are: reinjection, ground sprinkler irrigation and mechanical evaporation. For this analysis, were taking into account determining aspects such as economic feasibility, environmental restrictions (Colombian law, environmental license, environmental management plan), as well as the technical conditions of the field, in order to propose an alternative that reduces disposal payments and environmental impacts generated in Field A, also environmental impacts. After the evaluation and analysis of the three alternatives mentioned above, it is concluded that reinjection is the most effective option at technical, financial and environmental level. The results of this study, in which it is concluded that reinjection is the most viable alternative, will be presented to the company as the most feasible option for its implementation, this will allow prolonging project’s life due the optimization of operating costs of the production water treatment in Field A.
