Thesis
Due to the impact that early childhood development has on society, the State, through the Governance, has been working with other actors in the fulfillment of the National Public Policy on Childhood (PPNPI as its Spanish acronym) to improve the welfare of children under six years old. Hence, more companies, embracing its Corporate Social Responsibility, are increasingly interested in this subject. As an example, Éxito stores, through its Éxito Foundation, seek to promote early childhood nutrition by means of several programs. Among these is the Gestating and Breastfeeding Mothers Program of the Exito Foundation, to be assessed here according the goals of the PPNPI specific objective: promote health, nutrition and healthy environments, from conception to age six.
