Aging is a natural process that begins with conception and develops over the course of life. This process involves a gradual decrease in physical and mental capacities in such a way that needs and limitations end up accumulating. For this reason, the older adult population requires more care. In a digital context dictated by the COVID-19 pandemic, older adults can feel isolated. Taking into account the above, the objective of this project is to develop an application (in initial version) for Android mobile devices, which is a support tool in the care of the elderly. For the execution of this project, two main methodologies were used, the user-centered design methodology (UCD) and the agile software development methodology. The needs of the elderly and their caregivers were identified to develop the application accordingly. The application was designed and developed for Android mobile devices and usability was evaluated using system usability scales (SUS). Having used the DCU and having a 75.5% usability score, the results indicate that for the sample of the surveyed population, the application can be used by end users.
