abstract

  • Colombians’ rights have been violated through time by different actors, one of them the same State. This is why each citizen has to look for actions in which he can protect his own rights -practice citizenship-. This work wants to determine if there is a transformation in the actions that citizens use to protect their rights after they have suffered any kind of violence, through the analysis of the group “Madres Falsos Positivos de Colombia”. Using a qualitative methodology, and based in concepts like Structural Violence, Symbolic Violence and Citizenship, could be determined that practice of citizenship responds to a large amount of actions regarding legislative, artistic or communicative practices. Another important conclusion was that the way citizens practice their citizenship depends on the type of violence they have suffered.
