This study does a regional categorization of the Latin-American countries keeping in mind the global categorization of the competitiveness, economic growth and human development indexes. The main objective is to update the analysis about the regional panorama using a quantitative issue that related an asymmetry degree into the national competitiveness for each country. This relation between the global and regional positioning has influenced directly the way in which the business tissue evolves.
