Este proyecto apunta a contribuir al desarrollo del conocimiento sobre los procesos de desarrollo informal y las prácticas que los impulsan, desde lecturas contextualizadas geográficamente del fenómeno y del análisis de su relación con las Políticas Públicas de Ordenamiento Territorial y de Hábitat. Entre los resultados esperados se encuentra que puede constituir un nuevo paso en el proceso de exploración de las modalidades de desarrollo urbano informal, como andamiaje desde el cual puede observarse y profundizarse la comprensión sobre los modos de operación y mecanismos de agencia de los diversos actores que impulsan los mercados informales de suelo. Se espera que este nuevo conocimiento llene brechas significativas que persisten en el conocimiento de los hacedores y analistas de política pública acerca de un fenómeno sobre el cual buscan incidir, pero que comprenden apenas superficialmente. Parte de los resultados de un proceso de investigación adelantado previamente para identificar y desarrollar una tipología de esquemas de gestión del desarrollo informal en el contexto colombiano, y el estudio inicial de varios de ellos a la luz de un estudio de casos en dos ciudades intermedias de rápido crecimiento, sirve como plataforma para el desarrollo metodológico de análisis sistemático de las prácticas utilizadas por los actores que loimpulsan
This project aims to contribute to the development of knowledge on informal development processes and the practices that drive them, from geographically contextualized readings of the phenomenon and the analysis of its relationship with Public Land Use and Habitat Policies. Among the expected results is that it may constitute a new step in the process of exploring the modalities of informal urban development, as a scaffolding from which to observe and deepen the understanding of the modes of operation and agency mechanisms of the various actors that drive informal land markets. It is hoped that this new knowledge will fill significant gaps that persist in the knowledge of public policy makers and analysts about a phenomenon on which they seek to influence, but which they understand only superficially. Part of the results of a research process previously undertaken to identify and develop a typology of informal development management schemes in the Colombian context, and the initial study of several of them in the light of a case study in two fast-growing intermediate cities, serves as a platform for the methodological development of a systematic analysis of the practices used by the actors that drive them.
