  • This document presents the creation and initial implementation of a digital tool, developed in order to generate the unification of the information, making use of the data obtained from a Compensation Fund in Colombia. The purpose of this digital instrument is to allow, in a simple way, to consolidate the information that is available in different medical centers, clinics and hospitals of the Fund, to generate a rapid and constant control of the medical equipment present in the IPS. This seeks to facilitate the work of the biomedical engineer on issues such as generating indicators, analyzing the arrangement of equipment and the needs of clinics in a specific and general way. For this, the Excel + SharePoint tool is used because it allows generating information management from different points, centralizing control in the same environment, so that the format currently used is standardized, producing a reduction in time intended for this work. Additionally, it seeks to update new acquisitions, as well as medical technology provisions, in real time and have control of their traceability.
