abstract

  • Public Opinion: The Palestinian-Israeli Case is a media analysis conducted to examine how the media report on a conflict like the Palestinian-Israeli one. In this work we seek to identify the arguments used to justify the violation of human rights and the biases in the use of information in the coverage of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. This is based on the classification of opinion columns presented in media outlets such as: The Washington Post, from the United States; El País, from Spain; The Jerusalem Post, from Israel; Palestine Libre, from Palestine and finally, El Espectador, from Colombia. This is through the characterization of the types of disinformation that we divide into four sections: omission of information, non-current documents, misrepresentation of facts and lack of sources during the period from January 2017 to July 2023.
