The historic centre of Bogota is known for its architecture and the concentration of diverse cultural activities within meant to be conservated. However, its has gone through big changes in it’s limits and architectural characteristics over the last century. Since the year 2013 the project Ministerios was proposed. A project of urban renovation in the historic centre meant to be developed where shoe stores, lithographs and military stores have developed their economic activities for decades. Throughout this article, a state of art will be done based on the research made on the Project Ministerios to analyze the ways the problematic around the renovation of the historic centre has been studied through the project. This will be complemented by the analysis of official documents from the periods of Gustavo Petro and Enrique Peñalosa as Mayors to understand how the conflict between the community and the developers of the project has unfolded through the concepts of historic centre, urban center, urban patrimony and urban renovation.
