Compared to Total Factor Productivity (TFP), TFP has Taking into account that during the production process, undesirable goods are generated that negatively affect the environment (Rusiawan et al., 2015; Wang, Yang and Li, 2022). First, the data envelopment analysis (DEA) methodology is used to calculate TFP and its components: efficiency change and technological change. Second, the determinants of TFPV are analyzed through a dynamic panel data model. In the results, statistically significant differences are found in the distribution of the PTFV of the establishments that carried out environmental investments in comparison with those that did not make this type of investment. Likewise, it is obtained that the relationship between environmental investment and PTFV is positive and statistically significant, both in the short and long term
