The project proposes the creation of a Technological Development Center at the School of Engineering, Science and Technology (EICT) of Universidad del Rosario, with an initial focus on Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity. Although the EICT encompasses many other areas, we have decided to start with these two branches due to their strategic relevance and potential to generate immediate impact in digital transformation, areas in which we already have key infrastructure and capabilities. This strategy does not limit the Center, but rather establishes a solid foundation from which it can expand and integrate other research lines in the future, thus ensuring its relevance and lasting impact in a constantly evolving environment. The Center will differentiate itself by combining technological innovation with sustainable and ethical practices, aligned with international standards such as GRI. Its collaborative approach among academia, industry, and government seeks to develop advanced technological solutions for various sectors. With projected revenues of nearly 3 billion COP in its third year, and an initial investment of 100 million COP, the project presents solid financial indicators, with a NPV of 580 million COP and an IRR of 146.44%. A positive impact on the local economy, generation of qualified employment, and advances in sustainability are expected, positioning the Center as a benchmark for sustainable and ethical innovation in Colombia.
