  • Pressure ulcers (PU) are a frequent condition in patients with restricted mobility, causing a negative impact on the quality of life of hospitalized patients. The first measure is the identification of patients susceptible to developing PUs, which is why the use of scales that measure this risk is very useful. It is proposed to carry out an algorithm which is capable of optimally identifying and classifying images of pressure ulcers using artificial intelligence (AI) with machine learning, and thereby performing an analysis which allows evidence of the accuracy and precision of the algorithm.
