  • The following research analyses the scope and limitations of five Peace Education projects in the Escuela Normal Superior, regarding the mitigation of causes that facilitate child recruitment and/or child use by illegal armed groups in the municipality of San Juan de Nepomuceno, located in Montes de María. Hence, this research describes and explains how educational strategies oriented towards the diffusion of human rights, historical memory and non-violent conflict resolution can reduce child recruitment. This is based on fieldwork conducted in San Juan Nepomuceno with professors of the Escuela Normal, as well as the review of other sources, such as academic literature and institutional reports on the subject.
