The purpose of study this case is to analyze the scope and limits of four policies implemented by the International Alliance for Peace building - Interpeace, in preventing youth violence by gangs in El Salvador. In this order, it explains how the peacebuilding strategies framed through spaces of dialogue, participation, and consensus can influence on gang violence. To solve these purposes, resorted to the use of institutional documents and scholarly articles that were aware of the case study.
