El presente documento, tiene como objetivo describir cómo influye el aprendizaje de la lectura en el desarrollo del habla y el lenguaje en niñas y niños síndrome de Down (SD) entre los 3 y los 8 años de edad, quienes hayan iniciado la adquisición del código lectoescrito durante la primera infancia. Esto, a través de un proceso de búsqueda y revisión cualitativa en diferentes fuentes bibliográficas publicadas desde el año 2000 y hasta el 2014; siendo el objetivo principal establecer la influencia del aprendizaje lector en las habilidades lingüísticas y comunicativas de los niños y niñas con SD.
The purpose of this document is to describe how reading learning affects the development of language and speech in boys and girls with Down syndrome (DS) between 3 and 8 years of age, who have begun to acquire the code literate during early childhood. This, through a search and qualitative review process in different bibliographic sources from the year 2000 until 2014; the main objective is the influence of reading learning on the linguistic and communication skills of children with DS.
