ABSTRACTThe present work describes most outstanding contributions from some of the administration representative gurus in East and West. On the Western side there is the legacy of Henry Ford, Philip Kotler, Frederick Winslow Taylor, Henry Fayol, Michael Porter, Peter Drucker and Steve Jobs. On the other hand, in the East, the gurus are Akio Morita, Edwards Deming, Kaoru Ishikawa, Masaaki Imai, Toyoda family and Taiichi Ohno. Based on this, the authors make comparisons between the general trends of administration in each culture and among the gurus. Then there are important aspects of Mc Donald's and Samsung, related with its management models and the adaptation in a global world.
