Delinquency organizations in Valle de Aburrá are not limited to committing felonies, they also regulate the social order of the territories they control. These structures are made up of two or more bands, which are divided into combos. The latter are responsible for exercising the role of solving problems of security and coexistence; this has a lot of support among the community since their responses are faster and more “effective” than those of the government. Without a doubt, this situation weakens the legitimacy of the State in the neighborhood. Thus, this case of study with ethnographic approach explores –through immersions, interviews, testimonies and music– this phenomenon. And to get closer to its understanding, which does not delve into the existing literature, it is guided in the theory of regulation of social order of Parsons, the typology of social order of Arjona, the exegesis of legitimation of Habermas and the Legal Pluralism doctrine.
