abstract

  • Prematurity is a problem present in the last third of the pregnancy time, but it has also established itself as a chronic disease that can start from the early stages of pregnancy, and even earlier. The control of temperature and humidity in babies with a gestational age of less than 37 weeks and a weight of less than 1900 grams, classified as extremely low weight premature babies, has become the object of study since it has been possible to conclude in studies that evaluate growth of these babies in incubators, that the use of incubators in controlled humidity and temperature conditions improves the care of infants with extremely low weight by allowing to decrease fluid intake, improve electrolyte balance and improve growth rate, without an alteration in body temperature compared to care in a study group in incubators and conventional conditions. Through the development of this project, the aim is to create an information management system for the variables available in incubators through the Internet of Things (IoT), in order to provide support to specialists and take precautionary and security measures. during the care of premature newborn babies, facilitating the communication of data from the neonatology area and even providing information to relatives through a real-time consultation application accessible anytime, anywhere.
