abstract

• Geriatric syndromes (GS) are highly prevalent conditions of multicausal origin associated with high morbidity and mortality, in addition to being interrelated. Depression is among the most prevalent ones.
• Los síndromes geriátricos (SG) son afecciones muy prevalentes de origen multicausal asociadas a una elevada morbilidad y mortalidad, además de estar interrelacionadas. La depresión se encuentra entre los más prevalentes.
