El consorcio de universidades europeas y latinoamericanas tiene como objetivo promover el estudio y la investigación sobre la integración europea en América Latina con el fin de construir puentes de diálogo e intercambio de mejores prácticas entre regiones. En concreto, busca promover el debate y la reflexión sobre el proceso de integración de la Unión Europea y sus relaciones con los países latinoamericanos a través de la creación de una revista de acceso abierto, la alimentación constante de información en el Observatorio de Asuntos Europeos, la realización de un concursos monográficos anuales para jóvenes investigadores y promoción de cursos y eventos en los países participantes. La revista, titulada “Direito e Políticas na União Europeia / Derecho y política en la Unión Europea”, estará especializada en asuntos europeos, algo nuevo en América Latina. El periódicopublicará artículos científicos en los idiomas inglés, español y portugués. Los artículos serán el resultado de la investigación realizada por los socios del proyecto y presentados en los eventos promovidos por la Red, así como los envíos recibidos y evaluados mediante un proceso de revisión doble ciego por el Comité Editorial de la Revista. La Revista se publicará semestralmente, totalizando 6 ediciones durante los 3 años delproyecto. Cada revista tendrá su propio tema y una sección de temas generales. El acceso a la Revista estará abierto al público, con ediciones disponibles en el sitio web del proyecto. Las reuniones de la red acogerán el debate y la presentación de estudios que luego serán objeto de los dosieres temáticos de la Revista.Para las 6 ediciones, se esperan los siguientes temas:- Relaciones comerciales y de inversión UE-América Latina- Migración y ciudadanía en la UE- Diálogos sobre desarrollo económico y sostenible entre la UE y terceros países- Democracia y protección de los derechos humanos en la UE- Derecho internacional privado europeo y cooperación judicial internacional- Política Regional de Protección de Datos e Inteligencia ArtificialAdemás de poner a disposición la Revista, el sitio web del proyecto (disponible en inglés, español y portugués) contará con un Observatorio de Asuntos Europeos, con su propio ISSN, donde se publicarán noticias, breves comentarios e insights relevantes y actuales sobre los temas del proyecto. El contenido del Observatorio será elaborado por los socios e investigadores participantes en el proyecto y estará abierto a la presentación de otras partes interesadas. El sitio web también publicará la monografía ganadora de cada año y los trabajos seleccionados en la convocatoria de trabajos para seminarios celebrados en las universidades europeas. Con el fin de fomentar la investigación sobre cuestiones relacionadas con la Unión Europea entre los jóvenes investigadores de América Latina, el proyecto también contará con un concurso anual de monografías relacionadas con la UE titulado "Prêmio Jean Monnet de Melhor Monografia sobre União Europeia" para jóvenes investigadores (hasta 30 años antiguo) vinculado a alguna institución de educación superior latinoamericana con un premio de 1.000 euros a la mejor investigación y mención honorífica al segundo lugar. Anualmente se conformará un panel de evaluación, compuesto por 3 profesores que serán los encargados del análisis de los trabajos e indicación del orden clasificatorio. The consortium of European and Latin American universities aims to promote the study and research on European integration in Latin America in order to build bridges of dialogue and exchange of best practices between regions. Specifically, it seeks to promote debate and reflection on the process of integration of the European Union and its relations with Latin American countries through the creation of an open access journal, the constant feeding of information in the Observatory of European Affairs, the holding of an annual monograph contests for young researchers and the promotion of courses and events in the participating countries. The Journal, called “Direito e Políticas na União Europeia/Law and Policy in the European Union”, will be specialized in European affairs - something new in Latin America. The Journalwill publish scientific articles in the English, Spanish and Portuguese languages. Articles will be the result of research conducted by the project partners and presented at the events promoted by the Network, as well as the submissions received and evaluated by a double blind review process by the Editorial Board of the Journal. The Journal will be published every six months, totalizing 6 editions over the 3 years of theproject. Each magazine will have its own theme and a section for general topics. Access to the Journal will be open to the public, with editions available on the project website. Network meetings will host the debate and presentation of studies that will later be the subject of thematic dossiers of the Journal.For the 6 editions, the following themes are expected:- EU-Latin America trade and investment relations- Migration and Citizenship in the EU- Dialogues on economic and sustainable development between EU and third countries- Democracy and the protection of human rights in the EU- European private international law and international judicial cooperation- Regional Policy on Data Protection and Artificial IntelligenceIn addition to making the Journal available, the project website (available in English, Spanish and Portuguese) will feature an Observatory of European Affairs, with its own ISSN, where news, brief comments and relevant and current insights on project themes will be published. The content of the Observatory will be produced by the partners and researchers participating in the project and open for submission by other interested parties. The website will also publish the winning monograph for each year and papers selected in Call for Papers for Seminars held at the European universities. In order to foster research on European Union-related issues among young researchers in Latin America, the project will also feature an annual EU-related monograph contest entitled “Prêmio Jean Monnet de Melhor Monografia sobre União Europeia” for young researchers (up to 30 years old) linked to some Latin American higher education institution with a prize of 1,000 euros for the best research and honorable mention to the second place. Annually, an evaluation panel will be formed, composed of 3 professors who will be responsible for the analysis of the works and indication of the classificatory order.
