Este artículo hace un análisis de las principales estrategias de seguridad ciudadana implementadas en Estados Unidos, Francia, Gran Bretaña y América Latina, señalando el énfasis diferente que sus gobiernos le han dado a medidas represivas, intervenciones sociales y control de comportamientos ciudadanos. Con base en la filmografía más reciente sobre el tema, se presenta un recorrido del tenor de estas estrategias y sus resultados y efectos en la sociedad.
This paper analyzes the main citizen safety strategies implemented in the United States, France, Great Britain and Latin America pointing out the choice made by their governments for repressive measures, social intervention or behavioral control. Based on the contemporary filmography on the subject, this paper shows the strategies and results and their effects on the society.
