Evaluating policies to reduce teenage childbearing in Bogotá, Colombia: the effect of policies reducing costs of education faced by households

Proponemos un estudio sobre el efecto de las políticas educativas que reducen los costos que enfrentan las familias en el embarazo adolescente. Utilizaremos datos de Bogotá (Colombia), donde recientemente se han puesto en marcha políticas educativas agresivas. Nuestra principal pregunta de investigación es si las políticas educativas implementadas recientemente en Bogotá han ayudado a reducir las tasas de embarazo adolescente. Ya se sabe que algunas de estas políticas han aumentado la asistencia a la escuela; sin embargo, no se han investigado otros efectos de estas políticas.
We propose a study of the effect of education policies that reduce cost faced by families on teenage pregnancy. We will use data of Bogotá (Colombia) where aggressive education policies have been put in place recently.
