The genome sequence of the kissing bug, Panstrongylus geniculatus (Latreille, 1811) Academic Article

abstract

  • We present a genome assembly from an individual female Panstrongylus geniculatus (kissing bug; Arthropoda; Insecta; Hemiptera; Reduviidae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 1,362.73 megabases and 1,342.40 megabases, respectively. Most of haplotype 1 (97.5percent-flag-change) is scaffolded into 12 chromosomal pseudomolecules. Haplotype 2 is assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled and is 17.44 kilobases in length.
