Este trabajo de divulgación recoge tres relatos literarios de ficción, como instrumentos de divulgación histórico-científica, Dichos relatos están basados en casos reales, históricos, que cuentan las experiencias vitales de personas viviendo y muriendo en condiciones de pestes, epidemias, pandemias o sindemias, en diferentes lugares y momentos de la historia humana. Para este trabajo se incluyeron un relato de un médico en Roma durante la peste medieval; otro relato de una paciente y un médico, en el ámbito de una consulta hospitalaria, ubicado en la mitad del siglo XIX, durante la epidemia de tuberculosis en París; y, un tercero, que es el relato de un caso e enfermedad y muerte de una persona durante la sindemia del COVID 19 en ciudad de Bogotá. Los tres relatos, aunque construidos a partir de historias clínicas reales, se mueven dentro de la franja indescifrable de los borrosos limites entre la imaginación y la realidad, teniendo en cuenta que ambas son construcciones de humanos, utilizando como herramientas sus propias estructuras lingüísticas. En estos tres relatos, el caso “real“ se ve envuelto y difuminado en la bruma de la construcción fantasiosa, pero realística, del entorno y de la situación. De esta manera no hay “afuera“ ni “adentro“, porque la fantasía y la realidad están ligadas permanentemente y, más que ligadas, entreveradas en todas sus dimensiones.
This divulgation work gathers three fictional literary stories, as instruments of historical-scientific divulgation. These stories are based on real, historical cases, which tell the life experiences of people living and dying in conditions of plagues, epidemics, pandemics or syndemics, in different places and moments of human history. For this work we included an account of a doctor in Rome during the medieval plague; another account of a patient and a doctor, in the context of a hospital practice, located in the mid-nineteenth century, during the epidemic of tuberculosis in Paris; and a third, which is the story of a case of illness and death of a person during the syndemic of COVID 19 in the city of Bogota. The three stories, although constructed from real clinical histories, move within the indecipherable fringe of the blurred limits between imagination and reality, taking into account that both are human constructions, using their own linguistic structures as tools. In these three stories, the “real” case is enveloped and blurred in the haze of the fanciful but realistic construction of the environment and the situation. In this way there is no “outside” and no “inside”, because fantasy and reality are permanently linked and, more than linked, interwoven in all their dimensions.
