El proyecto está encaminado a realizar una caracterización de la población inmigrante en el territorio colombiano en cinco regiones del país (Antioquia, Centro, Costa Caribe, Eje Cafetero, Nororiente) desde una perspectiva de Derechos Humanos, con el propósito de detectar las principales problemáticas a las que se ven enfrentadas estas personas en el reconocimiento efectivo de sus derechos al trabajo, salud, educación, y acceso a la justicia, teniendo como eje central de análisis su situación migratoria (regularidad o irregularidad). La realización de este diagnóstico contará con la participación de entidades nacionales y regionales con competencias en la materia, organizaciones sociales y población civil. Debe señalarse que este proyecto se realiza sin recursos económicos y todo el equipo de investigación adelanta la propuesta por considerarla vital para el acceso a los derechos de la población migrante en los ejes de trabajo seleccionados.
The project aims to characterize the immigrant population in the Colombian territory in five regions of the country (Antioquia, Central, Caribbean Coast, Coffee Growing Axis, North East) from a Human Rights perspective, with the purpose of detecting the main problems faced by these people in the effective recognition of their rights to work, health, education, and access to justice, having as a central axis of analysis their migratory situation (regularity or irregularity). This diagnosis will be carried out with the participation of national and regional entities with competence in this area, social organizations and the civil population. It should be noted that this project is carried out without economic resources and the entire research team is advancing the proposal as it is considered vital for access to the rights of the migrant population in the selected areas of work.
