abstract
Wikipedia, women, indigenous languages and ancestral knowledge from the global south in the Colombian context is a public and open social project for people to participate on the internet, share knowledge, access knowledge, experiment, develop ideas and projects in a collaborative, free and open way through the projects of the Wikimedia Foundation. During the development of this project we have supported and strengthened the educational, social and cultural processes carried out by women leaders who are part of the Wayuu people. In the framework of this process, Wikipedia has been the means and also the way to empower women's voices and participation at the community level.
