La investigación propuesta se concibe como parte del proyecto “La situación de las trabajadoras de la economía del cuidado: perspectivas comparadas entre Colombia y Quebec”, desarrollado por la Universidad del Rosario y la Universidad de Quebec en Montreal, a través del cual se busca profundizar en la temática de la economía del cuidado desde una perspectiva comparada entre los dos países, profundizando en cuidadores remunerados del sector privado, en especial el trabajo realizado por las mujeres en ambos países y la situación de las personas que trabajan en los establecimientos.Pese a que los contextos de Colombia y Canadá son diferentes, se busca investigar sobre la valorización de este trabajo en el plano social, económico, jurídico y lo que se tiene en común, concentrándose el análisis de la situación de las personas que son remuneradas en los cuidados a domicilio en la búsqueda de legislación, políticas sociales, literatura jurídica y literatura no jurídica, lo cual permitirá establecer factores con un impacto sobre sus condiciones de trabajo (remuneración, horas de trabajo, seguridad, empleo y protección social (acceso a la seguridad social). Bajo este panorama surgió el proyecto “El cuidado de las personas mayores en Colombia y América Latina: contexto socio-jurídico (fase exploratoria 2000-2019)”, que tiene como objetivo hacer una revisión sistemática sobre el cuidado de las personas mayores en Colombia y América Latina, identificando el contexto socio-jurídico de la protección de las trabajadoras del cuidado desde el año 2000 hasta la fecha, para articular los resultados investigativos con la revisión que adelanta la Universidad de Quebec en Montreal. El proyecto de referencia se caracteriza por la por la utilización del gestor bibliográfico Zotero y por la vinculación de jóvenes investigadores, estudiantes de la Maestría en DD.HH. y de miembros del Centro de Recursos para el Aprendizaje y la Investigación (CRAI) de la Universidad del Rosario.
The proposed research is conceived as part of the project "The situation of women workers in the care economy: comparative perspectives between Colombia and Quebec", developed by the University of Rosario and the University of Quebec in Montreal, which seeks to deepen the issue of the care economy from a comparative perspective between the two countries, looking in depth at paid caregivers in the private sector, especially the work done by women in both countries and the situation of people working in the establishments.Despite the fact that the contexts of Colombia and Canada are different, the aim is to investigate the value of this work in the social, economic and legal spheres and what they have in common, concentrating on the analysis of the situation of people who are paid for home care in the search for legislation, social policies, legal literature and non-legal literature, which will make it possible to establish factors that have an impact on their working conditions (remuneration, working hours, security, employment and social protection (access to social security). Under this panorama arose the project "The care of the elderly in Colombia and Latin America: socio-legal context (exploratory phase 2000-2019)", that has as objective to make a systematic revision on the care of the elderly in Colombia and Latin America, identifying the socio-legal context of the protection of the workers of the care from year 2000 to date, to articulate the investigation results with the revision that the University of Quebec in Montreal advances. The reference project is characterised by the use of the bibliographic manager Zotero and by the involvement of young researchers, students of the Master's degree in Human Rights and members of the Learning and Research Resources Centre (CRAI) of the University of Rosario.
